Getting Excited for the New Season~

Hi everyone!

It’s been so long since I’ve posted anything on this blog! I know I often start my blog posts like this since I’m so inconsistant. And then usually I follow up by saying I’m going to try to start posting more often. But really, I am going to try this time!

As you can probably tell by the title of this post, I’m very excited for fall! Technically I’m a bit early since, according to the calendar, the first day of fall isn’t until the end of the month. But my bullet journal is ready, I’ve started decorating my home for the season, and I’m starting to feel the urge to watch more spooky and whimsical movies and tv shows. It’s still a bit warm to go full-on “fall mode,” so I’m not quite ready for sweaters and hot cider, but I felt a cool breeze today so the time may be upon us soon!

I have always had the sense that September is a time for new beginnings. I grew up in North America, so we started the new school year at the beginning of September. I loved shopping for fresh pencils and crisp new folders, blank notebooks and bright inky markers at the start of the semester. And nothing compares to that exhilarating realization that you have a totally blank slate – anything can happen, and you might achieve something amazing this year!

It’s been so long since I was a student and approached this time of year with that kind of mindset, but this year feels a bit different. Maybe it’s because this year (besides getting married of course!) has been so crap, I feel the need to take back the reigns of my life and create a new beginning in September. I definitely don’t subscribe to the idea that we should all be hustling and achieving and creating nonstop during these difficult times, but since I’m feeling motivated, energized and inspired by the season, I am making the choice for myself to pursue a handful of meaningful goals for September.

I can’t wait to share with you the different ways I am starting fresh this month! Please look forward to more blog content from me this month!
